Equipped with a large, double sash fume hood and smart, touch-screen teaching monitors, the new laboratory will provide Derrick Equipment with a modern, state-of-the-art space to train and refresh personnel in tests and methods that will be employed in real world situations in the field. The space will also be used to support on-site operations, testing, and refinement of tools and equipment. Utilizing a glass wall, a clear and visible connection is established to larger testing equipment located in the warehouse environment of the building, while maintaining the proper environmental and once-thru air flow requirements typical of a laboratory space.
