As the campus underwent expansion with multiple new buildings, the 50-year-old central plant required significant upgrades to support the increased load demands. Situated in a floodplain, the equipment had to be elevated on stilts and platforms to prevent water damage. Four 67,000-pound skids were installed to house additional equipment, necessitating robust mat foundations. To maintain the campus’s aesthetic integrity, HBU requested a fence to enclose the area without obstructing the visual appeal. A custom-designed fence was created, offering both privacy and airflow to the equipment, effectively balancing functionality with the campus’s overall design.
