Serving as a vital resource for the local community, the Training Center is a collaborative effort between Exxon, CMEF, and Lee College to deliver vocational education, professional development, and trade certifications to the next generation of skilled laborers and refinery workers.

Strategically located near Exxon’s Baytown refinery, the facility offers a convenient hub for Exxon personnel and contractors to complete the safety training and certifications required for refinery operations. In the evenings, CMEF conducts continuing education courses to help skilled tradespeople expand their expertise and advance their careers.

The facility includes flexible collaboration areas and modern classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art instructional technology. A 10,500-square-foot crane-served high bay supports hands-on training in equipment operation, scaffolding erection, and live demonstrations.

A four-acre yard behind the building offers ample space for training crane operators and providing heavy equipment certifications—ensuring real-world experience in a controlled environment.
